COME, PRESENT, PARTICIPATE: Friday, OCTOBER 5TH 2007
On Friday, October 5th, the Center for Race and Ethnicity will host a day-long meeting bringing together faculty from across schools, disciplines, and departments to discuss their research as it relates to race and ethnicity. We encourage faculty across the university to come, share work, meet colleagues, and hear about new research at Rutgers. This meeting is part of an ongoing initiative to promote interdisciplinary exchange and intellectual collaborations, and to shape the evolving agenda of the Center for Race and Ethnicity. (This is our second such forum; the 2006 colloquium agenda can be seen here: http://raceethnicity.rutgers.edu/Spring2006Colloquium.htm)

PLEASE RSVP by Friday, September 28th: Faculty who wish to present 5 minute descriptions of their work in to-be-arranged panels, and to participate in conversation about research trends and developments are asked to send: a brief description of your work, a CV, and contact information to: raceethnicity@sas.rutgers.edu (You may also contact Professor Keith Wailoo, Director: kwailoo@ifh.rutgers.edu; Mia Bay, Associate Director: mbay@rci.rutgers.edu; or Roland Anglin, Executive Director: ranglin59@gmail.com; or Ann Fabian, afabian@rci.rutgers.edu.) Recently-hired faculty members are especially encouraged to attend and speak about their work.

THE MEETING begins at 9 a.m. at the STUDENT ACTIVITY CENTER in the Raritan River Lounge (613 George Street, located between Frelinghuysen and Hardenbergh Halls, College Avenue Campus); breakfast, lunch and refreshments will be provided. (Full program details will follow)

COME, PRESENT, PARTICIPATE. If you cannot attend the faculty forum, but are interested in the learning more about the Center, please contact us. Send a CV, a paragraph-long description of your research, and contact information, so we can keep you informed of future meetings and events. Graduate students are welcome to attend.
