Please attend 2007-2008 first session of the Black Atlantic Seminar on Monday November 19, 4:30. The Seminar will meet in the History DepartmentŐs conference room (Van Dyck Hall 301).              

The session will feature a talk by Muhammad Ahmad (formerly known as Max Stanford, moderated by Donna Murch.) Dr. Ahmad who is currently teaching in the Department of African American Studies at Temple University will discuss his new book, We Will Return in the Whirlwind: Black Radical Organizations 1960-1975.  The co-founder the Revolutionary Action Movement (RAM), Professor Ahmad has been an activist scholar for over four decades.  He has worked closely with Malcolm X, Robert F. Williams, Jesse Gray, Amiri Baraka, Kwame Ture (Stokely Carmichael), James and Grace Lee Boggs, James Forman and Queen Mother Audley Moore.
